What an inspirational story!

The coaches trivial act might have had a transformational experience on this young boy. What a coach, what a team, what a crowd. This boy was very lucky to have such a supportive environment. Wow, what a story!

  1. That is one of my favorite video clips. I get a great warm feeling every time I see it! It reminds me of the time I was coaching a High School Basketball team in Baltimore and I took a kid onto the team who had never played before. He was terrible, but worked really hard. Towards the end of the season I let him play a quarter of the game and he led the team in rebounds and even scored his first basket. We still share a special grin whenever I see him!

  4. A really fantastic story. I sure wish that news shows did more of this. For every ghastly crime there are 10+ of these kinds of stories that reignite your belief in the inherent goodness of people and the beauty and joy in life.
